A new concept in Assistive Listening Devices
PUZZLE is the name of a new concept in ALDs, consisting of nine new, quality products designed to help the deaf and hearing-impaired with entertainment, communication, and awareness. Things that people with normal hearing take for granted can cause problems for those with a hearing impairment so we designed PUZZLE to help them in their day-to-day lives, making for better communication, entertainment, and awareness.
In alert mode the user can be informed about an alarm signal through light, sounds, and/or vibrations. For communications the user can choose the technology (teleloop, infrared, FM transmission) that best fits the hearing aid and the user´s environment.
The PUZZLE concept can be devided into three categories: alerting transmitters (transmitter devices), alerting receivers (receiving devices), and stereo/TV and communication devices (with built-in receiver). The PUZZLE products can be combined and used together according to the needs of the user. The alerting transmitters DETECT and OBSERVER make sure that the alarm signals are transmitted to all other PUZZLE products. These products let the user know when an alarm is activated (e.g., when the doorbell rings, the telephone rings, the baby chris, etc.).
